Cake baking is one of the easiest confections to make for home or commercial purpose, yet technical and calculating, you can not go wrong with the right recipe and procedure.


There are different types of cakes and sponge cake is one of them.
Sponge cake is a very lite dessert, can be served with ice cream or whipped cream
It is an easy to bake cake at home with no technical ingredient

The receipe

  • Vegetable oil 100g
  • Sugar 150g
  • Egg 4 pcs (large eggs)
  • Flour 150g
  • Baking powder 1 teaspoon
  • Flavour 1teaspoon (vanilla or buttercream )
  • salt 1/2 teaspoon

Procedure
-Sieve all dry ingredients together
-Whisk egg and sugar till it is stiff to peak, mix at high speed
-Add oil and flavour, mix at low speed

  • Add flour to the mixture and fold in with spatula
    -Line your pan and pour the batter into it
    -Bake at 160 degree (depending on the heat of your oven)
    -Bake for 15min and check with a skewer (long tooth pick) in the middle to make sure the cake is properly baked
  • remove from the pan and low to cool for 5min

Note: pre heat your oven at least 10min before you put your cake in the oven, you can put on your oven after mixing your butter and sugar.
Cake can stay fresh for 5days in the fridge

There are different types of cakes and chocolate cake is one of them.

The receipe

* Butter 250g

* Sugar 300g

* Egg 6 pcs (large eggs)

* Flour 300g

* cocoa powder 50g

* Baking powder 1 table spoon

* coffee 1 teaspoon

* evaporated milk 1/2 cup

* Flavour 1teaspoon (chocolate flavour)

Procedure

-Mix butter and sugar till it is fluffy and pale in color

-Sieve baking powder, cocoa powder and flour together 2 times

-Break your egg and whisk at high speed

With a spatula, mix the flour and egg in bit into the already mixed butter and sugar

– add coffee to boiling water and milk, then mix with the batter

-Add your flavour

-Line your pan

-Bake at 160 degree (depending on the heat of your oven)

-Bake for 20min and check with a skewer (long tooth pick) in the middle to make sure the cake is properly baked

– remove from the pan and low to cool for 5min

– you can sprinkle little rum on the cake when it is ready, this is optional. (It serves as a preservative and moisturizer)

HOW TO MAKE BUTTER CREAM

Buttercream is a delicious and creamy frosting used in covering cakes, it simplicity as made it versatile.


With two basic ingredients and creativity applied, you can create a lot of magic with it.
Receipe

  • Butter 250g
  • Icing sugar/ powder sugar 500g
    *Vinegar 1 tablespoon
    *Flavour 1/2 teaspoon

Procedure
-sieve icing sugar into a bowl
-measure your butter and mix with spatula or hand mixer at low speed for 3min

  • add your icing sugar in bit and mix
  • mix till it is smooth not fluffy
  • add your vinegar and flavour
    Your Buttercream is ready

You can use it for covering a cake, cup cakes and cake filling.
